Inspire.

Inspire. That is the word splashed across the front cover of my bible. As I sat at my desk, working on my bible study this morning in the quietness of my empty house, the Lord just kept impressing this word gently onto my heart.

Ok, Lord….what is it about this word?

After a few more moments in the quiet I skipped to the back of my bible and searched for the word ‘inspire’ in the concordance. The first scripture in the list is found in 2 Corinthians 4: 16-18. This is what it says:

16 “So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. 17 We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, 18 because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal.” (TPT)

God’s word, inspires.

Here’s the catch. The word of God can only inspire you if you open it and read its contents. Take some time every single day and let the words penetrate your heart. I will confidently promise you that when you read the word of God, you will be inspired. Don’t make excuses anymore, friend. Make this a priority.

The scripture above also tells us that our inner being is renewed by the word of God. Yes, our bodies are wearing out but our souls are being groomed and prepared for the day when eternity with the Lord is no longer our hope but our reality.

Isaiah 43:1 says this: “But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their race without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.” (TPT)

Tying it all together…if you, like so many people around the world today feel like giving up; look to the word of God and let it inspire you, strengthen you, and renew you.

You read the words; God will do the rest.
